  1. What do you expect from the upcoming year?

    The board begins the 20/21 year with enormous challenges due to the Corona crisis. Seeing how education is largely given online, we’re going to do our best make Bonaparte a place where everyone belongs. In both the are of debate as much as socials, we’ll be organising terrific activities. You can always reach me on chair@asdvbonaparte.nl for questions, comments or suggestions.

    This is honestly a really hard question to answer, but if I have to pick the most beautiful song ever, I would say Love Of My Life by Queen.

Srishagon Abraham

Secretary and vice-chair

Hi! I’m Srishagon, 20, and will be serving as your secretary for the 2020/21 academic year. As secretary, I am your main contact person. Alongside the PR Commissioner and chair, I am also the contact person for interested students and third parties. Besides communications, I’m in charge of all the organisational and secretarial work within Bonaparte! That includes meeting minutes, documentation, newsletters, the website, forms, and all our files! Additionally, I’ll be in charge of and spearheading privacy and security efforts.   1. What do you expect from the upcoming year?

    I expect to bring Bonaparte to the 21st century and make her the esteemed established society that our members deserve. I expect to completely restructure and reform the internal and external organisation of Bonaparte, maximise our efficiency, and make us fully compliant with any and all laws whilst protecting you and your data as our members. And of course, all the while making everlasting memories with an amazing board.

  2. Favourite bona memory

    Being elected to serve as your secretary. And, not my favourite, but my most memorable: volunteering for Amsterdam Open 2019, but being dead sick at the same time. I ended up nearly blacking out for the first time in my life at a concert after that.

  3. Guilty pleasure

    Shisha.

  4. Best song ever made?

    I wouldn’t say any one song is the best song ever made. BUT two songs changed how I viewed myself and music as a baby teenager 6-8 years ago: Thinkin Bout You by Frank Ocean; Two Weeks by FKA twigs. They’ve been in my top played songs every year since.

  1. What do you expect from the upcoming year?

    I’m expecting a year full of challenges, in which we are going to try to implement a lot of changes as a board. Nevertheless I don’t doubt that it’s going to be a very merry and fun year, especially because I will be present at all the debate nights and social events.

    Naming one moment is pretty hard for me, but I have made alot of new friends at Bonaparte with whom I’ve made very fond memories.

Saskia Bergmann

Debate commissioner

Hey I am Saskia, 20 years old, studying in Amsterdam now but started off in Estonia. As debate commissioner I’m in charge of offering good quality and insightful courses to our members and external clients, sending our members to tournaments and organising tournaments hosted by Bonaparte.

  1. What do you expect from the upcoming year?

    I expect a lot of hard work, sweat and tears to go into making Bona a wholesome place, filled with fun and development this year to substitute the community feeling everyone is lacking with online uni.

    I’m going to do my best to make sure all of our members have a great time at the Tuesday evenings and generally at Bona. I’m sure that with such an active and awesome group as ours all time spent together will be great! 🙂

    I had loads of fun going to the Eindhoven Open debating tournament last year with a group from Bona and hope goign to touranments together will be a good social experience for everyone this year too.

Hii! I’m Stella, 20 years old and I am happy to be your PR Commisionner for this year!

  1. What do you expect from the upcoming year?

    I expect a lot of hard work from this year but more importantly I expect all the hard work to be worth it thanks to the fun times spent at our events! This year is no doubt going to be different from other years but I’m sure that it will not keep us from having many educational, joyful and challenging experiences together.

  2. Favourite bona memory

    I have so many good memories with Bona but for me the highlights have definitely been tournaments like Amsterdam Open or Oxford Women’s!

  1. What do you expect from the upcoming year?

    I am looking forward to a fun, but also a challenging board year. The corona crisis has an impact on the kind of activities I can organise, but I am able to tackle this challenge. I am going to learn a lot and I am planning to organise a lot of fun activities.

    I have a lot of great memories and the First Years’ Weekend was certainly one of them.
